Requirements
- degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline
- proven experience as a Technical Manager or similar role within the UK house building industry
- strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning processes, and construction standards
- experience with sectional agreements and managing consultant teams
- familiarity with ground condition reports and site investigations
- experience in mentoring and managing junior technical staff
- proficiency with relevant software tools
- membership of a relevant professional body is advantageous
Responsibility
- review consultant designs and drawings to ensure they are technically accurate, cost-effective, and compliant with all relevant regulations
- maintain a high standard of technical quality throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring technical risks are identified, managed, and mitigated effectively
- conduct regular reviews and provide feedback to assist in the Technical Coordinator’s professional development
- provide regular updates to senior management on the technical status of projects, identifying any risks, challenges, or opportunities
- reports to: Director
- coordinate and manage the submission and discharge of planning conditions, ensuring all conditions are met and signed off in a timely manner
- ensure clear and effective communication between all project teams, ensuring that technical requirements are fully understood and implemented on-site
