Responsibility

  • ensure, where required, information is shared on a group-wide basis and take the 'Lead Buyer' responsibility for IT category driven projects
  • leading the RFx process for agreed IT across the organisation
  • in conjunction with the Procurement Manager, business stakeholders, CTO Heads of IT and Project Managers evaluate and confirm supplier selection
  • advise SRO's and business stakeholders on the process to procure goods and services and effective supplier management
  • support the Procurement Manager in the delivery and execution of the IT procurement strategy
  • developing and renewing contracts with new and existing suppliers ensuring that they incorporate the companies' policies, including IT Security, legal, risk and compliance
  • negotiate commercial arrangements and IT agreements with selected suppliers with a view to securing best value for the Bank and contributing to the Procurement savings target
  • working with the Procurement Manager on market and financial analysis to create an IT procurement category strategy that is aligned to business requirements
