Responsibility
- review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, interpret baseline forecast data developed from statistical forecast models, and provide market intelligence inputs
- coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
- collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers
- engage with supply chain and new product development teams to drive focus on products with key growth factors and operational constraints
- assist with design and implementation of demand planning tools
- closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
- utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
- provide input to the Supply Planning organization in creating the supply plan and developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
