due to our continued growth, we are currently recruiting for a Maintenance supervisor to join the team at our head office
the role will be predominantly office based however, occasional site meetings may be required
demonstrate good people management qualities and feedback to both individuals and the team to drive positive change
daily involvement with the service department to plan and prioritise ongoing works based on knowledge of the required tasks, technical difficulty, and engineers’ strengths
daily management of our CRM system and service department emails to ensure all works are up to date ensuring all urgent issues are in hand
this is an integral role within the business in which you will be assisting with managing our team of field based commercial gas engineers, pipe fitters and colleagues within the service department
ability to interpret engineers reports to ensure remedial works are dealt with and no situations arise which leaves our clients in unsafe or vulnerable situations, producing quotations for works for routine items and ordering materials from suppliers
Requirements

experienced to assist with technical queries and technical based decisions for our team of field-based engineers and office service team
effective management of jobs involving technical matters with clear communication to engineers and clients
asist the service department to plan and prioritise ongoing works based on your knowledge of the required tasks, technical difficulty and engineers’ strengths working towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and productivity
attend regular management meetings with the Directors and service manager to discus and plan ongoing works and projects
ensuring the companies Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are adhered too including the engagement and management of approved sub-contractors and compiling/issuing of RAMS
working alongside our service manager and service team, you will be on hand to assist with any internal technical queries for our field-based engineers ensuring works are efficiently completed, our clients’ needs are met whilst maximising efficiency and productivity
Requirements
IOSH or equivalent qualification although training available for right candidate
excellent track record in field operations, working with KPIs and hitting targets
strong people management skills with excellent interpersonal qualities and a strong, proven commitment to effective and supportive people management
strong communication and organisational skills to deal with the fast paced, high-volume environment
ability to multi-task, prioritising works through safety and necessity and customer requirements
have a good knowledge of heating & plumbing systems and water/legionella regulations. Previous or current ACS gas qualifications a distinct advantage
the ability to work under pressure, demonstrating drive and a positive approach to work
