Responsibility
- the aerospace industry is heavily regulated and this role is focussed on compliance and improvement activities within it
- it involves evaluating the quality of processes and products and recommending revisions of indicated specifications
- undertake third party audits and make crucial decisions to maximise cost efficiency without compromising product quality
- the role encompasses the entire value stream; supporting customers, regulators, suppliers, and internal departments in achieving compliant outputs, with a drive on continually improving processes
- testing products, systems, and procedures to ensure they meet technical standards, creating documentation on quality and safety and liaising between the engineering and production teams, and the customers to uncover and resolve quality-related issues
- use a variety of lean manufacturing tools to identify risks/ issues in advance and putting robust solutions/ corrective actions in place to prevent issues occurring, or reoccurring
- the successful individual will act as a Quality Standards Ambassador and always challenge convention on what is currently being done so we can optimise improvement and develop a culture that embraces LEAN and continuous improvement
