- the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience, hold a minimum Level 3 Teaching AND Assessing qualifications, and be qualified with a minimum Level 2 Functional Skills English qualification
Responsibility
- deliver Level 2 Functional Skills English courses to learners in a classroom based setting
- assess and monitor learners' progress throughout the course, providing feedback and support as necessary
- create and develop course materials and lesson plans that are engaging and effective for learners
- administer and mark assessments, ensuring that they are fair, accurate, and in line with awarding body standards
- maintain accurate and up-to-date records of learners' progress, assessment results, and attendance
- provide regular progress reports to learners, employers, and the company as required
- collaborate with other tutors and assessors to ensure consistency and quality across courses and assessments
Requirements
- minimum of 2 years teaching experience in delivering Functional Skills English courses
- hold a minimum Level 3 Teaching qualification, such as a Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent
- hold a minimum Level 3 Assessing qualification
- qualified with a minimum Level 2 Functional Skills English qualification
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and manage own workload effectively
- strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- experience with online teaching platforms and virtual learning environments is desirable but not essential
