Responsibility

  • ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations
  • liaising with the firm’s COFA
  • carrying out daily banking, including bank transfers
  • daily Client and Office account bank reconciliations
  • posting all financial transactions
  • raising and posting bills
  • checking bills, completion statements and estate accounts
  • preparing VAT returns

Requirements

  • good knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations preferable
  • experience of working as a Legal Cashier preferable
  • accounting: 1 year
  • bookkeeping: 1 year
