Responsibility

  • operate manual and CNC Lathes and milling machines
  • produce components to fine tolerances from engineering drawings
  • track and record progress of all jobs on the shop floor via the ERP system
  • control, record and ensure traceability of stock materials
  • update the manual record of machine maintenance weekly
  • machine items for general factory use within the Group
  • adopt good housekeeping practices for the Machine Shop Area
  • liaise with team leader and other departments on scheduling of workloads

Requirements

  • machining competency
  • basic knowledge of Fanuc programming
  • basic knowledge of Conversational programming
  • decipher drawings
  • numeracy and accuracy
  • computer literacy
  • previous Apprenticeship preferred although not essential
  • experience in similar role
