Requirements
- previous experience working for a company within the industry or from a similar business
- H&S qualifications such as an IOSH or NEBOSH would be highly advantageous
- minimum of 5 years proven success driving manufacturing / engineering performance and improvements, using tools such as Lean, Kaizen or 5S
- good working knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control
- track record of manufacturing production management with hands on approach
- demonstration of process flow improvements, cost reductions and productivity improvements that have been implemented
- exceptional organisational, communication and leadership skills
- demonstration of compliance with the requirements of Health and Safety At Work Act
Responsibility
- translating strategic plans into clearly defined operational plans
- to prioritise production to effectively utilise resources to deliver the operational plan on time and in full
- report on KPI targets on productivity, waste, quality and cost on a weekly basis
- ensure that all costs for the section are kept in line with budget, flex costs to sales
- ensure all employees are fully trained against all standard operating procedures and training records are up to date
- using continuous improvement methodologies and encourage this attitude to working practices to drive improvements in productivity and quality
- develop, mentor and motivate the team through continuous monitoring, training and good leadership
- to communicate with all internal functions to ensure on time, in full delivery of the production schedule and resolve any issues that impact on production
