front end developer
Responsibility
- working with client stakeholders to uncover technical solutions
- hugo & Cat are looking for a Senior Front End Developer to join their team to work on modular builds within CMSs and web applications
- hands on front-end coding , producing modular, testable code
- the ideal candidate will be able to present innovative solutions for our clients to all levels of the business, and work as part of the development team to deliver these to a high standard
- solution design involving other agency disciplines including UX & creative designers
- this role requires someone who has a good base coding ability as well as a keen eye for incorporating user experience and design systems and a desire to share that with their colleagues
- website and feature development alongside server-side developers
- you will work very closely with server-side developers, UX, design and QA teams to generate elegant solutions to complex challenges and present these back to the client teams
Requirements
- excellent HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3 experience
- experience using HTML templating
- knowledge of component library platforms such as Fractal or Storybook
- an understanding of responsive design techniques for mobile, tablet and beyond
- third party APIs, such as Google Maps integration
- an appreciation of tooling such as npm, Gulp and Webpack
- commercial experience building for CMS sites Design & Business requirements
- A good eye for design and a real passion for interaction design
