driving engineering excellence across our fabricated range of products
nesting and programming for AMADA Regius Laser machine
assist the Sales Team with the preparation of quotations/material requirements as and when required
liaise with team members, customers and suppliers to resolve queries
liaise with Warehouse Manager and ensure all information is handed over in a timely manner to maximise production output
we are looking for an experienced and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to help grow the product range and support the delivery of strategic projects across all design and engineering in the UK
responsible for all aspects of the CAD drawing process, CNC nesting and programming for profile cutting. Experience using Amada 3i software would be an advantage

Requirements
experience working with Solidworks/AutoCAD is essential
the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a metal profile cutting/ fabrication environment
A strong knowledge/experience of CNC cutting and programming and associated manufacturing processes
strong commercial awareness/manufacturing experience within a metal profile cutting/fabrication setting
A knowledge of steel types and grades, their properties and uses is preferred but not essential
good communication skills and the ability to liaise competently with team members, customers and suppliers
sales and estimating experience advantageous but not essential
