- grasp of the 7 wastes and the impact on a business and the interventions that can be used to eliminate waste
- A training qualification such as train the trainer
Responsibility
- leading a team of 20 skilled and semi-skilled carpenters/decorators/plumbers/electricians/general operators to high performance
- ensure Health and Safety principles underpin all workplace activities and that risks are identified and either eliminated or mitigated
- planning and managing the team to achieve better than 100% labour recovery versus plan
- ensuring the plan is achieved by coordinating materials and information flows
- maintaining a skills matrix to ensure all skills required are covered with sufficient numbers and through cross and multiskilling
- identifying and implementing improvement opportunities across the business
- setting objectives and standards of behaviour and dealing with performance below expectations
