Responsibility
- process payroll accurately and efficiently using BrightPay and Sage 50 payroll software
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation to ensure compliance in all payroll activities
- handle complex payroll tasks, including salary calculations, wage deductions, PAYE calculations, and benefits
- collaborate with clients to address their payroll-related queries and provide excellent customer service
- manage pension processes, including handling various pension companies and staying updated on pension legislation
- prepare payroll reports and documentation for clients and internal purposes
- stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and update internal processes accordingly
- contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems
Requirements
- minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role
- thorough understanding of payroll legislation and regulations
- proficiency in using BrightPay and Sage 50 payroll software
- familiarity with pension processes and experience working with various pension companies
- experience in a payroll bureau or accountancy setting is highly desirable
- excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively
- exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and have the ability to work well in a team
