Responsibility
- 3 acres of formal gardens, combining formal and wild areas around a system of waterways
- open on occasion throughout the year with the National garden Scheme
- the gardens have been featured in the national press and more recently on BBC Gardeners World
- an opportunity to work within a small team in a uniquely creative envirionment
- perform general groundskeeping duties such as mowing, edging, and weeding
- plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees
- prune and trim trees and hedges to maintain their shape and health
- apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed
Requirements
- previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance preferred
- knowledge of different plant species and their care requirements
- familiarity with gardening tools and equipment
- ability to work independently and follow instructions
- physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods of time
