Responsibility
taking on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary
to carry out caretaking services to the resident living on the estate and any other associated duties
the sweeping and gritting of the estate hard surface areas, removing rubbish and daily litter picking pathways etc. as instructed
to address, where possible and log any incidents of disrepair and breakdown, general internal upkeep of blocks
give access to contractors and external operatives when needed and report their presence on the estate grounds
to maintain the estate grounds by way of cutting grass, tending shrubs, hedges and the flowerbeds, watering all flowers, clearing leaves using gardening tools
the above is not exhaustive list but to enable the smooth running of the estate you may be expected to perform tasks as necessary as and when required
assist external contractors when on site when required
Requirements
this role is conditional to the passing of an enhanced DBS check
knowledge of health and safety and previous experience working with COSSH materials - although training will be provided
this role is also conditional of HLEMB receiving satisfactory references
experience of co-operative social housing and resident management would be an advantage
A professional responsible and honest approach at all times
ability to supply brief reports on background and action where needed
