Responsibility
process purchases, monitor inventory, track usage, and adjust procurement activities according to product demand
develop, improve and manage procurement processes, including Goods-in, Inventory, Goods-out and ERP system development
receiving requests and demands, negotiate with suppliers and process Purchase Orders, Purchase Order Amendments and/or Purchase Agreements
negotiating Terms and Conditions, Price Agreements and other contractual documents with suppliers
maintaining strong, effective relationships with suppliers and be able to resolve relationship and performance issues
understanding the budget requirements for the Purchase Orders, identify opportunities for cost reduction/avoidance through effective negotiation
identify new suppliers to source the best products in terms of value, delivery schedules, sustainable practice and quality
analyse spend data, produce statistics and identify costs and saving opportunities
Requirements
procurement experience in a related field
strong negotiation skills
commercial and financial awareness including strong analytical abilities
excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
ability to travel to meet with suppliers as required
experience with an industry standard ERP system
you will ideally already be an experienced Purchasing or Procurement professional with several years experience gained within a trade / manufacturing environment, and seeking a new opportunity with an expanding business focusing on key growth sectors
strategic thinker with ability to contribute at senior management level
