Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- to maintain and improve standards of Health and Safety, Quality and housekeeping and to report any short comings promptly
- follow all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training
- working within the Site Team delivering 12/7 cover on a continental shift pattern
- to ensure that all equipment within Horizon's control is correctly maintained and repaired, maximising plant efficiency and ensuring the safety of all personnel at all times
- follow required emergency procedures as documented and to respond accordingly during emergency situations
- flexibility will be required to support other clients and other shift patterns as the need arises
- to provide operational support by acting as a Competent Person within the meaning of the Site Electrical Safety Rules
- to operate and maintain all site main utilities (HVAC, chilled water & refrigeration systems, compressed air, steam generation & distribution, on-site power generation & distribution, within a multisite based team
Requirements
- trade qualification in Electrical with a formal qualification or above in a related Electrical engineering discipline
- minimum of 2 years post apprenticeship experience in an industrial engineering environment
- NEBOSH/IOSH desirable
- electrical Engineering
- knowledge of Health & Safety statutory legislation and requirements
- possess a proven ability to fault find and problem solve on electrical systems
- A strong understanding of compliance with government legislation
- demonstrate an innovative, positive and open approach to problem solving
