shop manager
Responsibility
to maintain excellent retail standards on the shop floor and manage housekeeping in all areas
to recruit and manage a team of shop volunteers
responsible for visual merchandising including window displays and shop layout in line with high street trends in order to optimise sales
we are looking for a pro-active retail lead to spearhead the development of Home-Start HOST’s first charity shop
to proactively manage staff and volunteers including delivery of induction and all other shop-related training i.e. Gift Aid, Cash Handling etc
you’ll maximise shop sales and profits through the day-to-day management of the shop, generating vital income to support HOST’s work
to lead by example in delivering excellent customer service at all times including competently resolving any customer complaints / queries

mental health support worker
Responsibility
we are looking for a family support worker to provide high-quality support to families with young children
main Responsibilities
to responsively deliver a case load of high-quality support to identified families via home-visiting, group work or supported signposting
working closely with Oldham’s Parent Infant Mental Health service and with maternity and Public Health Nursing teams
signpost and support families to access support from other sources within local communities
working alongside our support coordinators, you’ll be matched with a caseload of families for a limited time to provide targeted support focusing on early relationships
support parents to have positive relationships with their children in which children’s learning and development is nurtured
providing support in families’ homes and in the community, you will need to have the use of a car to travel to families across Oldham

we need someone who can create engaging content for social media campaigns to generate interest in all our volunteering opportunities
our team of volunteers are essential to the delivery of our services; they are a group of passionate and committed individuals and we need to increase their numbers as demand for our services grows
we have created this new role to focus on recruiting more volunteers and to make sure their experience of working with HOST is as fulfilling for them as it is for the families they support
the successful person will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of volunteer recruitment and managing the volunteer journey from advertising right through to those volunteers starting to deliver support
