Responsibility
- providing effective leadership and management of the home, staff team, and resources
- delivering the highest standards of care, exceeding residents' expectations and needs, with a strong focus on person centred care
- on-the-floor activity alongside supernumerary Home Manager responsibilities, with an on-call availability expectation
- promoting inspirational best practices while motivating and managing the staff team to achieve agreed outcomes
- providing guidance, advice, and training to staff, ensuring their well-being, morale, and cohesion
- ensuring effective use of systems to monitor service quality and reporting accordingly
- marketing and promoting the home to external organisations, agencies, and the wider community
- managing and being accountable for the home's expenditure budgets with commercial insight
Requirements
- proven track record of managing a successful care home over 50 beds in the same or similar role
- nurse qualification with valid NMC Pin and NVQ L4 Management/equivalent or higher qualification
- excellent knowledge of CQC legislation, compliance, and quality standards
- proven ability in budget management and control
- contribution within the Senior Management team of the wider organisation
- excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff members
