Responsibility
- construct, erect, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to specifications and safety regulations
- use hand tools and power tools effectively to fabricate scaffolding components
- collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of scaffolding with ongoing construction activities
- conduct regular inspections of scaffolding to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards
- perform maintenance tasks on scaffolding as required, including painting and repairs
- assist in the training of new scaffold builders in safe practices and proper use of equipment
- follow all health and safety regulations while on site, including the use of personal protective equipment
Requirements
- proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction field is preferred
- familiarity with various construction techniques, including roofing, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, and welding is advantageous
- proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- A background in carpentry or related trades will be considered an asset
- strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards on site
