Responsibility

  • H&J Martin Construction is now recruiting for a Graduate Engineer
  • H&J Martin Construction is one of Ireland’s longest standing and successful Building Contractors
  • H&J Martin Construction have strong relationships with local NI Developers, including those Development businesses within the wider Lagan Specialist Contracting Group
  • the following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive
  • over the years we have successfully contributed to the Built Heritage of Ireland, with the delivery of Iconic buildings such as the City Hall in Belfast, the Slieve Donard Hotel in County Down and Arnotts Department store in Dublin
  • always demonstrate a proactive and enthusiastic approach to your work and business interests
  • our contribution to Iconic sites has continued in recent times with the recent award of the Design and Build contract at the famous Kings Hall site
  • with these development partners, we have a healthy pipeline of local work over the next number of years and are therefore on the lookout for talented, innovative and ambitious individuals to join our team

Requirements

  • proficient in the use of Total Stations and all relevant surveying equipment
  • willingness to assume additional responsibilities in keeping with project requirements
  • ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • problem solving and ability to meet deadlines
  • ability to successfully implement, maintain and ensure compliance of Health & Safety legislation
  • fully understanding & implementation of Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures
  • minimum Foundation level degree in Construction management related or Civil Engineering degree, achieving a full Third level degree within 2-year period
  • commercially aware of economies and efficiencies
