support worker
Responsibility
- enable new service users’ to be inducted into their home and the local community, including
- ensure that all care and support is service user focused and upholds the principles of respect, privacy, dignity, fulfilment, independence, and choice
- record and report any Adverse Incidents/Accidents and potential or actual safeguarding concerns
- be fully involved with statutory multidisciplinary teams and assist with assessment and review of service users’ needs
- report and manage all incidents in line with the MAPA and PBS guidelines
Requirements
- 1 years’ experience of providing care / support
- working knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities
- demonstratable understanding and knowledge on behaviours that challenge
- right to work in the UK
- 2 Satisfactory References- one must be from current or most recent employer
- enhanced Access NI check
- NISCC Registration
- ability to undertake and maintain CPI Safety Intervention Training
