• as part of the regional Partnerships team, the Architect/Surveyor will use their expert technical skills to advise on and develop proposals for repair and alteration to heritage assets
• 7 To advise on statutory action in relation to listed buildings, drawing on national Technical Conservation Team colleagues as necessary
• 1 To undertake the assessment of applications for grant-aided and Heritage at Risk projects, including examining and assessing specifications and drawings, and recommending appropriate action

Responsibility

• work with stakeholders such as Historic England, local authorities and local communities to achieve better heritage management for historic structures
• raise funds for heritage projects through trusts and foundations, events, and donations

• work with the Heritage Project Manager to advance projects to conserve historic buildings and increase engagement in the historic environment by attending meetings, devising opportunities for engagement, and executing project plans

• to work with partner Project Managers and Regions leads to identify any risks to, or issues for, the regional HSHAZ programmes; advise on how these can be either avoided or mitigated, escalating to the Programme Manager where necessary and providing assistance where needed to help overcome obstacles to the achievement of the aims of the programme
• to monitor for and, where identified, address any inconsistency in the delivery of the Regional HAZ projects
• to work with the HS HAZ Programme Manager to assist the implementation and ongoing monitoring and evaluation and review process for the programme for your Region, liaising regularly with both the Programme Manager and other Project Officers to ensure a consistent approach
• to assist the Cultural Programme Manager as required to assist the delivery and monitoring of the HSHAZ Cultural Programme
