Responsibility
- food preparation and cooking, following recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of dishes
- prepare ingredients such as meat, vegetables, and sauces, ensuring they are properly cleaned, trimmed, and portioned
- operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, pans, and slicers, adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining cleanliness
- assist in the frying of meats, ensuring they are cooked to perfection and meet the restaurant's standards
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- support the food stock levels and alerting the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage of ingredients and implementation of hygiene practices
- assist in the receiving and storing of deliveries, ensuring accuracy and proper storage conditions
Requirements
- previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential
- basic understanding of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and hygiene practices
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
