Responsibility
- hill Farm Furniture are looking for experienced and professional on-site installers with carpentry based experience to join our growing team
- the successful applicant must have past experience in working with solid wood and with high-end kitchen furniture
- they must have excellent communication skills and be able to politely deal with customers, with a high attention to detail and take pride in their work
- the role will require you to take responsibility for most or all of a project installation and continually liaise with both customers and project managers
- depending on the project size and complexity, you will be expected to work both within a small team and to also work alone and under your own initiative
- the position is initially on a sub-contract basis, however, the offer of full-time employment with company van and tools may be offered to the right candidate and subject to continued increase in demand for our kitchens
- please note that while most of our work is within a 90 minute radius of the Newark and Grantham area, the role will require occasionally working away as we currently undertake 2-6 jobs a year nationwide
Requirements
- previous experience as a fitter or in a similar role is preferred
- proficient in reading and interpreting plans and technical drawings
- strong knowledge of different materials and their properties
- ability to operate various hand and power tools safely
- excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and painting/finishing is a plus
- carpentry: 2 years
