Responsibility
- conducting regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment across multiple sites
- troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime
- collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize production efficiency
- developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan
- ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
- training and mentoring on-site technicians to enhance their technical skills and knowledge
- managing contractors and external service providers for specialized repairs and installations
- maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and reports
Requirements
- proven experience in maintenance and engineering roles, preferably in the food production industry
- strong technical knowledge of food processing equipment, automation systems, and utilities
- familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
- flexibility to travel between multiple sites within the Maryport, Cumbria area
