Responsibility

  • driving vehicles in an appropriate manner with due regard to safety and speed limits
  • ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean and in good condition
  • daily visual inspection/checking of tyres, lights, oil, water, fuel
  • refuelling vehicles as and when required
  • operating one of Heywood House’s transport routes, collecting clients from given pick-up points, Home or Respite care, and delivering them to Heywood House ; collecting them from Heywood House and dropping them back at the given points, Home or Respite care

Requirements

  • to be caring, friendly and enthusiastic
  • experienced driver with a full clean UK driving licence
  • thoroughness and ability to keep good records
  • have 2 suitable references, professional and/or educational
  • be prepared to go through necessary background checks
  • eligible to work in the UK
  • commercial driving: 1 year
