Responsibility
- provide support and assistance to individuals in line with their care plan
- assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
- promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in community activities
- maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals
- hereward Care Services are looking for Support Workers to join it's team at Lyons Gardens, a purpose built respite residential care home for adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex needs
- be the 'shift leader' where required when on duty, delegating tasks and ensuring all tasks are completed as set by management
Requirements
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or higher in Health & Social Care
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- patience and empathy when working with individuals with disabilities
- strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures
- you must be a driver and have access to your own car
