Responsibility

  • monitor and maintain stock within the surgeries as necessary, informing the Head Nurse and liaising with the dentists over necessary orders and warning of any shortages of materials in the stores
  • ensure the safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste
  • occasional reception cover
  • assist the dentist or hygienist in the completion of patient records electronically
  • keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions
