Responsibility

  • ensure the provision of high-quality care services to vulnerable people living in their own home
  • you will participate in the mentoring, supervising and development of new members of staff during their initial induction and shadowing period
  • to identify and match the most suitable Care Assistants with each care package
  • you will work alongside the Duty Manager, Team Leaders and the Assistant Care Manager to promote best practice and support the successful management and development of a high quality, specialist home care service for individuals with physical disabilities, elderly individuals including those who suffer from specialist conditions such as Parkinson’s, dementia and individuals requiring continuing or palliative care
  • to create effective weekly rosters and provide Care practitioners with rotas in a timely manner
  • to ensure the scheduling is carried out efficiently enabling the Care Assistants to spend the allocated care time with each Client and to allow for travel time
  • you will be expected to ensure and maintain excellent quality assurance of the service. This will involve planning of personalised care and reviews and responding to these in adequate time frames
  • you will ensure that sufficient staffing resources are in place to deliver home care services and that staffing hours are arranged effectively. You will also be expected to support in managing the on-call service

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work with Manual Handing equipment and be able to support care workers to use various equipment
  • experience with electronic monitoring systems
  • have your own means of reliable transport to get around
  • care Coordinating: 2 years
