Responsibility

  • monitor and seek out potential funding for Health Exchange from competitive tenders, service requests, invitations for bids, foundation and grant opportunities
  • work with the Heads of Programme Departments to identify needs and design projects and subsequent funding proposals
  • health Exchange exists to help people make healthy choices
  • our guiding belief is that everyone should and can be empowered to take positive control of their own health and wellbeing
  • lead the project management of Health Exchange bids, tenders and grant applications – from analysis through to project planning, draft and final production and delivery
  • complete market engagement and tender processes in line with required processes, including writing effective, concise and compelling tenders that fully meet the needs identified in the tender specification
  • support the development and production of more accurate, high-quality data and programme information, case studies and ‘Cases for Support’ from Health Exchange programmes to prove impact and attract new business
  • to achieve this, we provide health and wellbeing services for individuals, groups and communities across England; although much of our work remains concentrated in Birmingham and the Midlands, where we were first established in 2006

Requirements

  • close attention to detail with excellent editing and proofing ability
  • high quality writing based on excellent literacy skills and an extensive vocabulary
  • self-confidence, personal credibility and the ability to support and challenge others appropriately
  • flexibility and willingness to get the job done, whether that involves high-level strategic and technical work or basic administration tasks
  • business Development: 3 years
  • ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by the needs of the job
  • excellent administrative and IT skills , including great attention to detail and familiarity with online tender portals
