Responsibility
- haulaway is a family run company that has been established for 30 years
- we are a recycling and waste management company based in the Hailsham providing skip hire, rolonof, grab, tipper and bulk haulage
- we also operate two licenced sites including a waste transfer station and a recycling distribution facility
- the Internal Transport Manager is responsible for overseeing the transportation of goods and materials within the organization
- develop and implement transport policies and procedures for the organization
- manage the transport fleet, including the maintenance and repair of vehicles
- schedule and coordinate transport activities to ensure that goods are delivered on time
- manage the drivers, including hiring, training, and performance management, and conducting regular driver assessments
Requirements
- proven experience in transport management
- strong understanding of transport legislation and health and safety regulations
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- good organizational and time management skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- the role may require some physical activity, such as walking around the facilities. The Internal Transport Manager must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time and be able to lift and move heavy objects as needed
