Responsibility
- perform routine maintenance and repairs on our boat, including engine repairs, electrical systems, and other equipment
- keep the boat clean and tidy, both inside and out
- ensure that the boat is safe and seaworthy at all times, and that all necessary safety equipment is in good condition
- provide a high level of customer service, ensuring that our clients have a memorable and enjoyable experience on the water
- act as skipper for our boat, taking customers out on the water and providing a safe and enjoyable experience
- communicate with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and tailor the experience accordingly
- we are currently seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic and Skipper to maintain our boat and take our customers out on the water
- the successful candidate will be responsible for keeping our boat in top condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and ensuring that it is safe and seaworthy at all times
Requirements
- experience as a marine or agricultural mechanic, with a strong understanding of boat maintenance and repair
- skilled at troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the ability to work independently
- excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with customers
- A valid boat operator's license and a strong understanding of boating safety rules and regulations
- good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- comfortable working weekends and holidays, as required
- physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor as required
