Workshop Engineer - Auto Electrician York
Workshop Engineer - Fitter/FabricatorDepartment – WorkshopThe role of Workshop Fitter/Fabricator is to help with the installation and fitting of ancillary hydraulic equipment on to commercial vehicles. This includes bolting equipment to truck chassis, fabrication work on metal plates and welding steel, or some aluminium where necessary. A general interest in engineering and mechanical type work.The ideal candidate should have some experience, and a desire to work in the Workshop environment with a view to a long-term career progression in this field. They will be required to learn a level of technical knowledge on HGV hydraulics to support the operational requirements of the role. Training will be provided. Direct report to the Workshop Manager who will provide daily guidance and support.The role will be based from our Full Sutton, York headquarters. It is expected when required by the role that reasonable requests for overtime hours at additional rates of pay are possible.Working hours are 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. 20 Days holiday leave will be granted – running from 1st March to 28th February annually. Plus, all recognised Bank and Public holidays.
