Requirements
- driver
- fit
- hold a D1 licence entitlement to drive a minibus
- have experience within a similar role
- demonstrate strong communication skills
- be physically fit as you are required to maneuverer and push wheelchair users
- ability to work to deadlines
- demonstrate a high level of service
Responsibility
- ensure patients board safely, are seated and use of appropriate passenger and wheelchair restraint equipment is correctly applied
- maintain the cleanliness and ensure the routine daily checks of designated vehicles are carried out prior to deployment
- provide support as directed to other agencies in the event of serious injury or emergency
- to be flexible on a daily basis to support all PTS hospitals/locations where applicable
- maintain accurate transport records
- transporting patients from home to medical appointment and home again. Provide light assistance where necessary to patients who may be ambulatory or wheelchair users
- comply with Harrow CT instructions, procedures, guidelines, protocols, policies and relevant systems and adhere to all statutory legislation
- safeguard patients by escalating any concerns
