Responsibility
- reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the required materials and tools needed for each project
- construct custom wood pieces from blueprint specifications
- measuring and cutting materials to the appropriate size and shape, using power and hand tools
- use hand tools and power tools to build structures and make repairs
- installing structures, fixtures, and fittings, such as windows, frames, floorings, doors, skirting & Arch, Kitchens, Flat Roofs
- use platform heights, material thicknesses, and nail sizes to create structures of the appropriate strength for intended usage
- building custom furniture, cabinetry, and other decorative elements
- inspect finished structures for strength and stability
Requirements
- proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3-5 years in the construction industry
- strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials, as well as construction safety standards
- proficient in using a variety of power and hand tools, including saws, drills, hammers, and chisels
- ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team
- physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
- high school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or apprenticeship training is a plus
