Responsibility
- ensuring high quality childcare and education is provided in a safe and clean room
- ensuring that the candidate is a role model for staff including high levels of professionalism and standards of appearance
- coaching, mentoring and supervising the Nursery practitioners within the room ensuring they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities
- mentoring and supporting the Nursery Assistants and Nursery Practitioners within the room and ensuring they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities
- providing support to the Nursery Deputy Manager and communicate effectively to ensure receive support in the room
- planning activities for the children and activities to support individual needs
- carry out observations and termly reports on our children
- knowledge of SEND
Requirements
- level 3 full and relevant Childcare Qualification
- level 3 or above
- relevant childcare qualifications in accordance with OFSTED guidelines
- minimum 2 years’ post qualification
- thorough understanding and knowledge of legislation including EYFS
- empathetic, caring and friendly
