Responsibility

  • collaborate with the Catering Manager to create new menu items and specials
  • maintain a clean and organized work area
  • monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
  • adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • train and supervise kitchen staff

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a care home or educational setting
  • knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
  • ability to work well in a team
  • excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
