  • preparing Charity Accounts: 3 years

Responsibility

  • assist with the production of materials and reports for Board meetings and attend Quarterly Finance and Investment committee meeting, taking minutes
  • support the production of annual budget and reforecast setting, including the 5 year plan
  • management of the Charity's day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring these operations adhere to best practice and follow appropriate financial procedures and systems, ensuring accurate data capture required by SORP and FRS102
  • review fortnightly payment run and uploading to bank
  • preparation and ownership of management accounts including Balance Sheet reconciliations with sound analytical evidence to drive cost control and commentary to aid strategic business decisions
  • maintain proper use of charitable funds, including restricted funds, ensuring that expenditure remains within pre-approved budgets and is authorised according to the Scheme of Financial Delegation
  • proactively perform Business Partner role with internal and external stakeholders working closely with the Senior Management Team to understand and produce detailed financial analysis and commentary across both income and expenditure lines
  • manage the Finance Team in all aspects of everyday work, providing leadership, mentoring and development to ensure they are an engaged, motivated and skilled team
