Working hours

Responsibility

  • working as part of a two-person team within a workshop
  • installation and wiring of electrical power components
  • electrical connection of components
  • installation and wiring of control equipment into switchboards
  • ensuring that all works are installed and executed in accordance with the works specification
  • responsible for installing electrical equipment conforming to IEE 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • diagnosing and replacing failed components
  • carrying out electrical inspection tests and installing electrical equipment and wiring

Requirements

  • city & Guilds Part 2 in Electrical Installations
  • city & Guilds 2391 in Electrical Inspection and Testing
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • CSCS and ECS cards required
  • full driving licence required
  • skilled in use of hand and power tools
  • ability to read electrical schematics diagrams
  • strong attention to detail
