Responsibility
- general booking/accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and asset management
- complete responsibility for the purchase ledger and sales ledger
- guthrie Castle Ltd has successfully traded for over 30 years as a leading provider of Business Development Seminars; we are based in the Angus area
- balance sheet reconciliations
- we have an opportunity for an Accountant to join us permanently, working as part of a small team; the Accountant position will suit either a Qualified or partially qualified Accountant looking to further their career or an experienced Accountant looking for a new challenge
- submission of VAT returns
- oversea and run Payroll function, including submitting PAYE and pension scheme
- banking and Bank reconciliations
Requirements
- ideally, you will be qualified; part qualified and/or have relevant experience
- A positive attitude, with a solution, focussed, ‘can-do approach
- at least two years of experience in a similar finance role
- motivated and committed, with good self-discipline and strong attention to detail, be able to work under pressure and on your own
- quickbooks experience
- the ability to work to tight deadlines
- accounting: 3 years
- flexibility to work weekends if required to do so
