Responsibility

  • 35 hours a week
  • oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • ensure that all meals are prepared and served in accordance with dietary guidelines and restrictions
  • manage inventory and order supplies as needed
  • train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
  • develop and maintain recipes and menu items
  • monitor food quality and ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety
  • collaborate with other departments, such as the dietary department, coffee bar, bartending, banquet, and catering teams to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

  • previous experience in a kitchen management role is required
  • strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets is a plus
