Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- required to work at height
- be able to prep old and new pieces of aluminium ready for painting
- occasional manual handling to include lifting paint drums, collecting items from stores
- required to paint the interior and exterior of the craft, which may mean working in enclosed spaces
- required to work in a paint booth which have control measures
- requirement to work alone on occasion
- applies paint finishers to the craft by both hand and by spray gun, this requires him to wear respiratory equipment. Some of these paints are 2 pack paints which contain Isocyanates
Requirements
- trained and competent painter
- experience of working with a variety of paint finishers
- the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential
- must be flexible and adaptable to all types of work
- must understand and work to the requirements of the Health and Safety and Environmental legislation Act
- fabrication: 1 year
- must have experience of working in a continuous improvement environment and be willing to make an active contribution to the process / team
