commercial manager

Working hours

  • full-time | Contract

Responsibility

  • work within an agreed project management framework including delivering key works packages, managing risk, communication with stakeholders, effective administration
  • work with the project director to implement an inclusive recruitment process for perspective apprentices
  • work with colleagues at Factory International to develop a learning management portal to effectively manage apprentice journeys
  • work closely with the Project Director on an external / internal communications strategy that ensures awareness and active engagement with flexi-job apprenticeships including events and digital comms
  • roll out an effective onboarding process for businesses and apprentices
  • develop and implement an employer recruitment plan in the pilot areas of GM, Newcastle, and Leeds to become hosts for the first 50 apprentices, working to achieve agreed targets
  • raising awareness of the benefits available to employers of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce
  • sourcing and engaging effectively with businesses of all sizes in the creative and cultural sectors by phone, email, and face to face

Requirements

  • experience of event organisation, effective administration and helping devise supporting marketing and comms material
  • able to devise work plans and deliver them successfully
  • able to undertake work with minimum supervision but still form part of an effective team
  • some knowledge of the arts and creative sector
  • sociable, ambitious and able to form and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with a range of people across different organisations and businesses
