Responsibility
- we are seeking an experienced and skilled Nursery Cook to join our team
- prepare and cook nutritious and well-balanced meals for children, considering their dietary requirements and food allergies
- create menus that meet the nutritional needs of growing children and adhere to relevant guidelines
- maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety throughout the cooking process, following established procedures
- ensure proper storage, handling, and labelling of food items to prevent contamination and maintain freshness
- monitor and record temperature and quality control checks on a regular basis
- collaborate with the nursery staff to understand and accommodate any specific dietary needs or restrictions

Requirements
- proven experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably in a nursery or child-oriented setting
- strong knowledge of food hygiene practices, safety standards, and allergen management
- familiarity with planning and preparing meals for children, including adapting recipes to meet specific dietary needs
- ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and nursery staff
- A positive attitude, patience, and creativity when working with children's food preferences
- ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping purposes
