Responsibility

  • diligently tracking, reporting, and analysing budget variances to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial performance
  • conducting thorough reviews of the company's financial statements to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to accounting standards
  • proactively recommending changes in policies or procedures that will enhance financial performance and drive efficiency throughout the organization
  • utilizing forecasting techniques to project future financial performance and assist in strategic decision-making
  • skillfully preparing and analysing budgets to align financial plans with organizational goals and objectives
  • providing timely and accurate financial reports to management, facilitating informed decision-making processes
  • ensuring strict compliance with government regulations and applicable financial laws
  • preparing comprehensive month-end reports for management, encompassing vital financial statements such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Financial Controller, demonstrating expertise in financial management and strategy
  • experience working within retail is essential
  • full qualification in CIMA/ACCA/ACA, showcasing a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices
  • proficiency in working with Xero, an essential requirement for this role
  • extensive experience in controlling the finance function from a transactional level, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • proven ability to effectively manage and lead a team, fostering collaboration, and achieving shared objectives
  • exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and relationship-building at all levels of the organization
  • dedication and flexibility, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deliverables
