Responsibility

  • entering monthly sales invoice information on Excel spreadsheet throughout the month
  • creating and sending out sales invoices in Xero at month-end
  • sending out statements to clients at month-end and as required
  • we are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to work two days a week at our busy office in Biggin Hill
  • obtaining invoicing information from new clients and setting up on Xero
  • you will be responsible for all accounting functions within the company, working as part of a small team of administration staff and with the Directors and need to hit the ground running
  • processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into Xero or databases then filing hard copies
  • creating and entering payroll journal onto Xero at month-end

Requirements

  • able to work on your own initiative and without supervision
  • good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errors
  • multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with clients and suppliers
  • communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms
  • mathematical skills for accurate record-keeping
  • administrative skills for filing financial records
