Requirements
- relevant professional experience in designing utility-scale PV sites
- very good understanding of the solar market in the UK with outstanding knowledge of all planning and ground condition impacts
- excellent skills in AutoCAD and PVsyst
- very good written and spoken communication skills
- independent and detail-oriented way of working
- autoCAD: 1 year
Responsibility
- use of AutoCAD , PV Case, and PV Syst for PV system design and visualisation
- creation of bills of quantities and component lists
- planning and parameterisation of PV systems on both the AC and DC sides, ensuring compliance with employer and supplier requirements
- mechanical planning of substructures, considering statics, stability, external loads, and project-specific factors such as corrosion, wind, snow, topography, and earthquake risk
- regular familiarisation with new technologies and applications
- acting as an organisational interface between sales, procurement, and operations
- preparation of planning documents, including topographic layouts, water management plans, module assignment, string plans, substructure and ballasting plans, as well as construction details such as earthwork plans, earthing installation plans, and foundation plans
- close collaboration with sales managers and project management for smooth communication and subcontractor commissioning
