Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • safely and efficiently operate a van to transport goods to designated locations across the UK
  • communicate with dispatch or warehouse personnel to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules
  • load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as a sackbarrow
  • ensure that all items are securely strapped or loaded to prevent damage during transit
  • follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
  • perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the van to ensure its proper functioning
  • GMS TRANSPORT GROUP provide a round-the-clock, 24/7 same day delivery service

Requirements

  • previous van driving experience, a class vehicle driving licence and driver CPC is preferable but not essential
  • excellent communication skills to interact with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and clients
  • strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately
  • full training will be provided
  • you’ll need to have had a full UK driving licence for at least two years and currently have no more than 3 penalty points
  • driving: 1 year
