- install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring, and trim
- inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
- follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
- select and evaluate materials for defects
Requirements
- proven experience as a carpenter
- proficient in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, levels, and planes
- knowledge of power tools such as drills, sanders, and routers
- experience with roofing installation and repair
- strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods
- knowledge of electrical work related to carpentry projects
- familiarity with masonry work for construction projects
- ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
